Sputnik developer calls for booster jabs comparative analysis

MOSCOW, Jan 20 (PRIME) -- The developers of the Sputnik vaccine have called for immediate global comparative studies of Sputnik Light and other booster vaccines, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Gamaleya research center said in a joint statement on Thursday.

“The Sputnik vaccine development team calls for immediate global open-label comparative studies of Sputnik Light and other coronavirus vaccine boosters,” the statement read.

The Gamaleya Center and the Italian National Institute of Infectious Diseases Lazzaro Spallanzani conducted a joint comparative research on the effectiveness of booster jabs.

According to the RDIF and Gamaleya, combining jabs is the most effective approach to vaccination, and Sputnik Light is one of the best vaccines for extending the protective effect of other vaccines.
